Bag Filter Production Increased for Maintenance Season 2025

Filter Holdings, Inc. (“FHI”) has expanded its production capacity at its Union, New Jersey, USA headquarters and production site. Over the past year, the company has added sewing machines and personnel– increasing its production capacity and throughput. The company has also added personnel to focus on drawings, designs, and patterns as part of its commitment to continuous quality improvement.
“When I first joined FHI in 2022, I was asked to standardize the legacy Summit Filtration business, which provides industrial bag house filters to OEMs, distributors, and users,” said Wiley Hargrove, Production Manager. “We’ve standardized our processes and equipment, improved our maintenance approach to increase uptime, and with that increased throughput for customers.”
Improved throughput allows FHI to provide shorter lead times for customers. Combined with its central location on the US East Coast, customers get their baghouse and other specialized sewn filter products faster. “Customers are fatigued with long lead times,” said Ed Kemp, Sales Engineer Manager, “FHI’s ability to measure, design, and provide a sample fitting is a real benefit for our customers – especially when they’re in a hurry.”
FHI’s Union, NJ site is now capable of producing thousands of industrial bags per day, an important consideration given the ever-changing needs of filter buyers. Regulations can shift, and with an increased focus on local-for-local production, more customers are focused on finding US-based suppliers.
“In the past, a small business like FHI would’ve had to push back ship dates or build up inventory when a rush of orders comes in – this is what FHI sees seasonally with asphalt plant maintenance,” said new President, Fred Lybrand. “Bag filters like we produce are crucial for the maintenance cycles -when those plants look to change out their bags and order new ones – FHI is ready.”
